about the blog
a personal blog about the ups and downs of my life in Barbados. i’ve been making up stories since before i even went to school! since i was 15 i kept a diary. i was 24 when i moved the diary online. in short, i love to write and blogging let’s me do that. sometimes i worry about making so much of my personal life public, especially since i live on a small island. but the personal is political (and my readers are few anyway
). aside from the TMI stuff i blog about my academic and political interests which include thinking critically about gender, race, caribbean culture and media. i update when the mood strikes rather than on a fixed scheduled.
eemanee in brief
twentysomething. crazy caribbean gal. highly sensitive. passionate. depressed. bookworm. unemployed. likes all things coconut & ripe plantain. spends too much time online. idealist. dreamer. crybaby. aspiring writer. soon to be driver! introvert. scorpio. feminist. honest to a fault. in love with exclamation marks! definitely not made for this world but trying to make it all the same.
